FONATUR Constructora, S.A. de C.V. was incorporated in 1976 as Baja Mantenimiento y Operación, S.A. de C.V., whose corporate purpose was to render preservation and maintenance services for personal property and real property in the Wholly Planned Centers of the National Trust Fund for the Promotion of Tourism (FONATUR). Its main activity was to preserve and maintain urban infrastructure, the operation of its drinking water systems, plant nurseries, public lighting, surveillance, as well as operating sewage treatment plants, pluvial drainage, among others.
Afterwards, in order to have an institutional identity and representation, on December 11th, 2002, it modified its corporate name to FONATUR-BMO, S.A. de C.V., which main corporate purpose was to carry out maintenance, cleaning, operation, surveillance, facilities’ supervision services, execute public and private works, mainly to FONATUR, as well as to be in charge of the Harbor Administration of the dock installations of Huatulco, in Oaxaca and San José del Cabo in Baja California Sur.
As of April 30th, 2008, the corporate name changed to FONATUR Constructora, S.A. de C.V., a corporation that carries out public and private Works and renders services related to such Works which may be requested by organizations and government entities in a federal, state and municipal level, as well as by other branches of government, all kinds of companies and individuals.
We do construction and demolition of facilities and infrastructure, as well as of personal property and real property that is such requested by organizations, government entities in a federal, state and municipal level, as well as by other branches of government, all kinds of companies and individuals.
Today, we contribute to strengthening the tourism activity through the creation of touristic centers, with the sole purpose of improving its image and competitiveness in a national and international scale, contributing to employment and to the promotion of regional development.
